When people first come into the NDIS, they often hear the term 'Support Coordinator' and assume it's an administrator who books appointments. It's so much more than that.
A Support Coordinator is part navigator, part advocate, part translator. We sit with you and your plan and ask, 'What does a good life look like for you?' Then we work backwards from that vision, mapping which supports in your plan can help, who in the community delivers them well, and how to weave them all together so they don't conflict or duplicate.
The best coordination is quiet. You shouldn't notice it because everything just works. The right supports arrive at the right time, the providers communicate, the paperwork is sorted, and your plan stretches further because nothing is wasted.
Within the NDIS, yes there are limitations to what your budget can fund, and no, we will never promise a service we know cannot be provided. This is to make sure you and your funds are provided in alignment with your needs, as well as the NDIS standards. We want to make sure you are supported within the scope of your plan, however this does not mean we cannot request the supports you are hoping for.
